Bodeler “Bodo” Declasse
Bodeler Declasse passed away on the night of December 29, 2020 at the age of 71 in Viera, FL.
His battle with dementia in recent years showed him to be determined to get back to his old self. When asked how
he was doing he would never complain but simply say “I am getting better”. Bodo’s strength remained
strong until the end.
Bodeler went to college and studied Economy which got him a career in the Haitian government for 15 years
where he was Assistant Chief of Personnel for the health department.
Bodeler’s most impassioned goal in life was to establish a global economy to efficiently get goods to his home country of Haiti.
He left his country in hopes to setup an establishment in the USA to achieve his goals.
What he ended up with instead was bringing his wife Marie Jean and daughter Jennyfer to the states
where he rooted his family and grew with them. His daughter Jennyfer and two sons Stephan and Obed
became his greatest accomplishments.
We are reminded with his treasures he left behind how simple of a man Bodeler was. From his
notebooks of handwritten business plans to his collection of lottery tickets hoping to win the big prize.
He lived the life of a traveler, during his final year he landed with a home at his son Stephan,
daughter-in-law Amy Marie and his grandchildren
Raine Emily, Hailey Marie, Skye Luna.
Bodeler will forever be missed.
Don't grieve for me now I’m free
I’m following the path
GOD has laid you see.
I took his hand when I
heard him call
I turned my back and left
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to
work, to play.
Tasks left undone must
stay that way
I found that peace at the
close of day
If my parting has left a
void, Then fill it with
A friendship shared, a
Laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too
Be not burdened with
times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine
My life’s been full, I
Good friends, good times,
a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed
all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now
with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts, and
peace to thee
GOD wanted me now; He
set me free.
