Norman Paul Blanchard, 80, of Cocoa, FL, passed away Thursday, January’ 28, 2010.
Born in Central Falls, RI, to the late Paul & Melinda Blanchard.Norman was a Tool and Dye maker and was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Viet Nam War. He was a great golfer and hordiculturist.
Norman was the beloved husband of Margaret (Peggy) L. Blanchard for 58 years. He is survived by six siblings, Claire Day of CT, Paul Blanchard of MD, Lucille Nichols of FL, Arthur Blanchard of IL, Violette Hobbs of MD, and Roger Blanchard of MD; daughter, Carolyn Jones; grandchildren, Marla Kay Schoeberg and Chrystal Jones; great-grandchildren, Steven and Madlyne Schoebert, and Tara Jones.
Norman was preceded in death by his brother, George Blanchard; and daughter, Debra Hartlaub.
Visitation will be Saturday, January. 30, 2010 from 2 to 4p.m. at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, FL and Sunday 2 to 4p.m. al Cocoa First Assembly of God, 3757 N. U.S. HIghway 1, Cocoa, FL, with funeral services following at 4 p.m.
Entombment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made in Norman’s memory to the Cocoa Assembly Church of God
