Biography

Robert B. Groppe, 89, died Friday, November 20, 2009 after a brief illness. Robert was a retired New York City Police Officer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy WWII.

He is survived by his sons, Robert G. (Andrea) Groppe, George Groppe, Kevin (Tia) Groppe and Matthew (Denise) Groppe; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Janet.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. The family will receive friends Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Viera from 5:30 to 7:30P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Radio, 1800 Turtle Mound Rd, Melbourne, Florida 32934.
