Attilio (Charlie) D’Eletto, 87, passed away surrounded by his beloved family on September 2nd.  Charlie was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the son of now-deceased parents Attilio and Maria.  Charlie was married to Ida Vecchio for 64 years, ending with her passing in 2016.  After marrying in Brooklyn, they resided on Long Island, subsequently moving to Cape Canaveral, Florida for the last 28 years.
Charlie served in the Korean War, and his patriotism and love of country were second only to his love of family. “Sempre Famiglia” (Family Forever) is a plaque that was visible to all when entering the D’Eletto household, and he embodied that spirit for his entire life.  There was never any doubt about his dedication to family or his family’s love for him. He also enjoyed golf, Italian food, fine wine, and above all, people.  His humor, kindness, generosity, and love touched everyone he came in contact with.
Charlie and Ida had four wonderful children together:  Bob and his wife Susan of Melbourne, FL; Tom (predeceased) and his wife Kathy of Long Island, NY; Steve and Carol of Pawcatuck, CT; and Donna Condon and her husband Tim of Long Island, NY.  They also enjoyed 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: Elizabeth, husband Justin and their twins Emma and Connor; Teresa and husband Dave; Christina, husband Jason, their daughter Grace, and son Thomas; Michael; Danny [predeceased]; and Chris.
Charlie/Dad/Grandpa/Great Grandpa/Friend, You will live in our hearts forever and we will miss you.
